Director’s Address

 

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the University of Ibadan Career Development and Counselling Centre (UI-CDCC).

The Centre was created in 2016 as part of the efforts of University of Ibadan to foster a supportive and nurturing environment for all members of the university community. Our mission is to enhance the personal, emotional, and psychological well-being of students, empowering them to achieve their fullest potential both academically and personally.

We understand that the journey through university life can be both rewarding and challenging. Our team of trained professionals is here to provide guidance, and resources tailored to your unique needs. We are dedicated to assisting you in navigating these experiences with confidence and resilience, whether you are confronted with academic pressures, personal challenges, or in search of career counselling.

Our Centre is available to assist you in navigating these critical moments, whether you are a student who is exploring career options, a recent graduate who is pursuing their first job, or an individual trying to break a bad habit.

At the UI-CDCC, we understand that developing the necessary skills can be both exciting and challenging. That is why we provide a wide range of services tailored to meet your unique needs, including psychotherapy sessions, workshops, practicum, internships, and job placement efforts. We are committed to empowering you with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to make informed decisions about your life.

Our dedicated team of counselling, educational, clinical, organisational, couple and family psychologists are passionate about helping you achieve your desired goals. Whether you are looking for one-on-one educational, vocational or socio-personal counselling, we are here to assist you at every step.
